When I read about the alabaster jar lady, I thought of Jesus’s anointment with the precious oils in the jar and the washing of feet and service to others. But it also got me thinking this lady uses her tears to wash Jesus’ feet and her hair to dry it off and the oils to massage into his skin.
She must have had some beautiful long hair, long and thick enough to wipe someone’s feet dry. I dug deeper and began to wonder what type of hair this Alabaster Jar lady must have had. What was her routine to make such beautiful, long, lush hair? I have searched the scriptures, ancient Jewish, Hebrew and Greek beauty routines, and hair upkeep. These are my sentiments.
My first thought especially for the Alabaster Jar lady was the wonderful oils in this jar may have contributed to her beautiful hair. Long ago beauty products were handmade by mothers or ladies in the home, there were no mainstream beauty products. Most of the beauty products were handmade at home or by your neighbor. Shops were far away as well, people walked to different places. It just makes sense that everything was made at home.
A garden was grown and animals kept for fat etc. Animal fat and home-grown products were then turned into beauty products. Olive trees for oil etc. Ash was used to make lye for soap. Water was a luxury (drawn from a well or a natural stream), so dry botanical flowers from the backyard garden and nearby fields turned into herbal powders, oils, and salt were used for cleansing. Women would gather at the water source to do laundry and draw clean water to use for cooking.
I was inspired (with the Holy Spirits’ guidance) to make natural handmade beauty products inspired by Bible Scriptures and inspired by ancient times concentrating on these few areas mentioned above. I also considered Queen Esthers’ beauty regime. I am creating a product line of beauty products with this in mind.
I created Queen Esthers Oil (multipurpose oil) with Frankincense to address numerous skin problems or for anointing, can also be a bath oil. I created a Gift set with what I would use if I were Queen in Esthers’ shoes containing Rosemary Tea Tree Bath soap, Fenugreek Hair oil, and Rose Bath Salts. The other set has all these mentioned with a cotton crocheted face cloth and soap saver bag. Another set has All-purpose balm, Rosemary Tea tree bath soap, and Rose Bath Salts.
The Fenugreek Mint Natural Hair Oil (Alabaster Jar Hair Oil) contains natural Fenugreek infused olive oil, organic homegrown sun-dried Mint, and Olive Oil. It encourages hair growth, helps to decrease dandruff, nourishes scalp and hair, moisturizes, and promotes overall hair health. It can also be as a natural beard oil for men. The good thing about natural products is that they usually are multipurpose.
Have a look in my shop to purchase these natural products. They are Bible and Holy Spirit-infused.

Following His Ways.
Shalom and Thank you, Jesus.
