The Legacy Mother – (Little Inquisitive Hearts for Christ LIHfC or LIH) – Titus 2:3-5 – The Sunflower
All about her children.
“3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. 4 Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.”
The Holy Spirit revealed the identities of mothers in Scripture who reflect different seasons of motherhood. They form the foundation of what Natural Nest represents.
The fourth is the Legacy Mother.
She has already dwelt in God’s presence as the rose. and rooted herself as an olive tree, she has built a life of strength and dignity, and her children rise and call her blessed as the nest mother. Now she steps into legacy.
She pours into others. She teaches and strengthens younger mothers, guiding them with gentleness and truth.
She speaks wise counsel to her children, little sunflowers who turn towards the lighthouse.
She serves faithfully, like the prophet Anna in the temple, devoted to God and attentive to His voice.
She lives a life of righteousness that can be seen and followed like Lois and Eunice. She becomes a teacher, a guide, and a living example of love, shaped by wisdom and anchored in self-control.
Little Inquisitive Hearts for Christ was placed in my heart as a vision. A safe and nurturing space where young children and mothers can come together to be present, to learn, and to grow in the knowledge of who God is.
It is a place of teaching, where Biblical foundations are woven into everyday life, equipping this generation for what lies ahead.
Iron sharpens iron.
Here, they discover who they are through God’s eyes. Capable. Creative. Deeply loved. Fearfully and wonderfully made.
We cater to the child through LIH, bringing nature, God’s Word, and peace into their hearts. Nurturing them from young so that they will not depart from it.
We train them in ancient skills to become capable, God-fearing generations even when they are older.
