The Rooted Mother – Psalm 84 – The Olive Tree
All about her body.
“1 How lovely is your dwelling place,
Lord Almighty!
2 My soul yearns, even faints,
for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh cry out
for the living God.
3 Even the sparrow has found a home,
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may have her young—
a place near your altar,
Lord Almighty, my King and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house;
they are ever praising you.[c]
5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.”
The Holy Spirit revealed the identities of mothers in Scripture who reflect different seasons of motherhood. They form the foundation of what Natural Nest represents.
The second is the Rooted Mother.
She is planted by the streams, where she draws the Living water from.
Rooted and nourished by Olive oil and stands the test of time like the Olive Tree.
She dwells in the presence of God. Placing herself and her young in His altars.
Dwelling in His Dwelling place day and night.
She is filled, nourished, rooted and rested in His nourishment.
She cares for her body through nature and finds herself, her beauty, her identity in God.
She fears the Lord and is crowned in rubies, fearfully and wonderfully made.
Her standards of beauty and femininity are based on a clean and nurtured heart. She does not let anything filled with toxins touch her temple of the Holy Spirit as much as she can.
She stewards her body. She finds her peace, her rest, her calm, her mental destress in Christ’ Peace.
Filled with oil in her cup, fullers soap, lush hair and beauty of a quiet spirit.
