Both trees and humans depend deeply on water. It’s an important source of life for each.

  • Both trees and humans need water for life, growth, and health, without it, they weaken and eventually die.
  • In trees, water helps with photosynthesis, turning sunlight and carbon dioxide into food. In humans, water helps with digestion, breaking down food and carrying nutrients.
  • Trees use water to transport nutrients from the soil through their roots and stems. Humans use water to transport nutrients and oxygen through blood.
  • Water in trees moves upward through the xylem, while in humans it moves through the bloodstream.
  • Trees lose water through transpiration (from their leaves). Humans lose water through sweating, breathing, and urinating.
  • Water gives trees structure and firmness by keeping their cells full and strong. In humans, water keeps cells hydrated, joints cushioned, and skin healthy.
  • Both trees and humans rely on water for cooling. trees through transpiration and humans through sweating.
  • If trees don’t get enough water, they wilt, dry, and stop growing. If humans don’t get enough water, they dehydrate, feel weak, and their organs can’t function properly.

In simple terms:

👉 Trees drink water through their roots.

👉 Humans drink water through their mouths.

But both use it for the same purpose: to live, grow, and stay healthy.

Psalm 1:1–3 (KJV)

nor standeth in the way of sinners,

nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord;

and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,

that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;

his leaf also shall not wither;

and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

and shall not be careful in the year of drought,

neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”
