It was my turn for the scan. It’s in winter and its cold, here I am laying on the bed with my tummy out. The gel they use for the ultrasound is cold. The lady from Dischem sat quietly for a few minutes with the ultrasound on my belly. she makes a remark “this is strange.” I am thinking to myself why is this lady taking long, dead silent and now saying this is strange while looking at my tummy.

She suddenly asks me how many babies am I expecting in my tummy. I answered one without thinking twice about it. Then she says I see two heads. I panicked wondering whats wrong with my baby who has two heads.
Then I hear my name being called in the main hall, I won a gift from dischem. We signed up to win gifts as well. So I was thinking of getting up and going to get my gift. But first my baby with two heads. She then shows me that there are two babies in my tummy. I was shocked.
Surprise, surprise, I am carrying twins!!
One baby lay on the bottom of my belly while the other twins head was on the top close to my chest. And I said there is noway a baby can turn so quickly in a matter of seconds. I am having twins. WHAT??? She finishes with the scan, I try to take a picture with my phone but the twins where in different directions. We tried to take a picture of the two sacks together.
We finish the ultrasound. My mind is spinning—TWINS!! I walk out; the other ladies are so excited. Are you okay? Would you like a drink of water? You look pale. Would you like to sit down? Yes, please. Here is your gift. I won a baby womb electric breastfeeding pump. With twins, God knew I would need it.
I call my husband. He is shocked. Asked if we have twins in the family. I said not that I know of. My husband said maybe there was something wrong with the machine, lets get a second option. I called my dad, he was busy and didn’t answer. I phoned my mom, Im carrying twins. Mom is over the moon, screaming “Praise God”. Then dad calls back. I asked him many times do we have twins in the family? my father said no, I was the first to have twins. Everyone was so excited. My head was still spinning and I could not believe it.
